I have posted links on my event page to the two events I reviewed in January. I did a Paint and Sip class at the Pickled Paintbrush and saw a performance of the Perth Folk and Roots Club. The Pickled Paintbrush is an art studio in Fremantle that does “Paint and Sip” classes where you will be taught how to replicate a painting with a paintbrush in one hand and a glass of wine in the other. It was SO much fun. I really want to go and do it again.
The Perth Folk and Roots Club is a not for profit organisation that supports local musicians and encourages performances of folk and roots music. We went and saw them at the Inglewood Bowling Club on January 27 2019. Perth Folk and Roots hosts free music performances a couple of times a month. Folk and Roots music comprises of blues, country, jazz and old folk time songs. If I had to describe the genre I would call the music pleasant and calming and just really nice to listen to.
