This has been on my to-do list since August. I’ve finally published Echoes in the Wind on Smashwords! I went through the whole thing and edited it and rewrote large parts of it. I even re-added a deleted scene (that for the life of me I cannot remember why I deleted it in the first place). It was interesting re-reading the whole thing. 80% of it was still pretty good but there was a lot of fluff and repetition that I ended up taking out. I also changed some bits that didn’t agree with me now. I think it’s a good story. Going through it again after not reading it for years was like reading it for the first time. I’d forgotten a lot of what happened in it. I enjoyed large parts of it. It was fast paced and exciting and very creative (the hamadryads were awesome). I LOVE the new front cover that my sister Katie Quinn made for me. It’s the back of Echo’s head. I love how her hair is rippling in the wind and that you can see the back of her neck. It is simple but pretty and is a good interpretation of the book and the title. I actually put a dollar amount against my book this time. I have no idea if anyone is going to buy it but it’s selling for $1.99 through Smashwords. Echoes was originally published by a small online publisher a couple of years ago and was available for a while as an e-book before it went out of print. It hasn’t been available for the past few years. I’m very excited to be re-releasing it. Click HERE to purchase it from Smashwords!
